ProjectM is the open-source successor to MilkDrop. It runs the same .milk preset format with modern OpenGL rendering. VJ Studio uses ProjectM as its core visualization engine.

Currently, preset selection is automatic -- the AI matches presets to your audio's characteristics. Manual preset selection is on our roadmap. The AI does a good job of matching high-energy presets to drops and calmer presets to breakdowns.
